Walstrom Marine announced that Tom Ervin has been inducted into the Michigan Boating Industry Association (MBIA) Hall of Fame, an honor presented during the association’s Annual Awards Dinner in December 2025. The recognition celebrates Ervin’s lasting contributions to Michigan’s boating industry and his leadership at Walstrom Marine since joining the company in 2016. During his tenure, Walstrom Marine has expanded its brand offerings, strengthened service operations and grown its footprint across the state.
In addition to Ervin’s induction, two Walstrom Marine service technicians were also recognized by the MBIA. Brian Johnson received the Outstanding Technician Award for his technical expertise and commitment to customer service, while Cody Beach earned the Marine Technician New Achiever Award for his professional growth and promise as an emerging leader.
Founded in 1946, Walstrom Marine has grown into one of Northern Michigan’s leading boat dealers, with multiple dealerships, marinas and service facilities serving boaters throughout the Great Lakes region.
