By July 26, 2013No Comments

The Detroit District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recently announced that water levels have risen significantly on Lake Michigan, and the Manistee County Visitors Bureau in Manistee, Michigan wants boaters to know water levels in the county’s three harbors of refuge are viable and ready for boating traffic this summer.

Additionally, thousands of dollars in Harbor Restoration Funds from the State of Michigan have been allocated for dredging and maintenance during the summer of 2013, and some private marinas are dredging on their own. The state is expected to dredge a total of 58 channels this year.
