With the rise in boating activity and increase in new boaters on the water, West Marine is more dedicated than ever to helping educate and promote safe boating practices. To honor National Safe Boating Week and encourage safe boating practices, West Marine is partnering up with America’s Boating Club and National Safe Boating Council, as well as other safety organizations during the month of May.
The partnership will culminate at the end of May with the start of National Safe Boating Week on May 22. In efforts to further safe boating practices and education, West Marine will be offering resources in its stores throughout the month, including free safety checklists, life jacket fittings and even discounted towing the week of May 22.

In addition to in-store and online resources and tools, boaters can test their boating skills with the America’s Boating Club safety simulator at select West Marine stores May 14 – 16. Practice everything from docking and maneuvering a slalom course, to putting the boat on a trailer and rescuing someone overboard.
