X Shore — the Swedish electric boating brand at the forefront of sustainable, electric boating — is setting up its North American sales office at the well-known Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard in Newport, Rhode Island.
The year-round sales location will be led by North America Head of Sales Patrick DeSocio. The iconic shipyard includes a full-service marina and shipyard, with 3,500 linear feet of dock space that can accommodate yachts up to 300 feet. The shipyard will serve as a sales office and also the site of VIP events and sea trials, with X Shore’s electric Eelex 8000 accessible to buyers on land and on the water.
“We are thrilled to have our North American sales office established in the Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard,” DeSocio says. “The boating traffic and visibility here is first-class, and with our office being officially open, we are excited to welcome in guests to learn more about X Shore and to offer sea trials to those who are interested in the Eelex 8000.”
X Shore will be employing a strategic workforce for the sales team over the next several years, and will continue its Sarasota location as a logistics base and to support the sales team’s access to Florida boat shows.
