Yamaha Marine’s latest updated Helm Master EX boat control system now includes added features that make boat maneuverability even easier. Features include Joystick Station option with Helm Master EX Full Maneuverability, a new Pattern Steer feature for easier operation, Lateral Assist to compensate for wind and current, and access to a single function Trim Assist button through the user’s Digital Electronic Control.
In addition, the new Helm Master EX offers an Automatic Off Timer, Course Hold Offset stackable up to 10 times, and is now compatible with select Furuno-brand MFDs, with TrackPoint with Way Point Arrival active for these models.
“Helm Master EX is the pinnacle of fully integrated digital boat control. These updates expand the system’s features to include improvements and completely new, customer-requested capabilities,” says David Meeler, new product introduction manager for Yamaha Marine Engine Systems.
Existing Helm Master EX customers can upgrade their software and/or hardware through an authorized Yamaha Marine dealer starting spring 2022.
Yamaha has also released a new line of props intended for XTO Offshore applications available for order spring or summer 2022 that feature a Yamaha Shift Dampener System, and large diameter and specially designed blade surface area with an extra trailing edge cup.
“The new XTO EC prop helps the blades hold water longer for better grip in those applications where ventilation can be an issue. Developed from builder, dealer and customer feedback, these new products further enhance boating experiences for a wide variety of applications,” Meeler adds.
