The “rad in plaid” tradition will continue this year, with a reenvisioned look! For this year’s Yooper Plaid Fest Unmasked, participants can register online to receive a special Michilimackinac Historical Society (MHS) face mask and instructions. They can then take their mask to a favorite historical spot and submit a video or picture with a written explanation of why this bit of history is meaningful and important to them.
There will be voting and prizes for the best submissions, with the winners announced virtually on March 8. Submissions are accepted now through February 28, so register and get your collectible mask, and share a bit of Michigan history.
Registration costs $20 per person, and proceeds go to support MHS and its work to continue sharing the important history of the region.
