The 3rd Annual Small Craft Festival will return to Clayton, New York, Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 10 am to 5 pm, hosted by the Antique Boat Museum. “Boats. Beer. Buoys.” is this year’s theme, and visitors are invited to experience a day on the St. Lawrence River with hands-on recreational boating including sail, row and paddle opportunities, along with observing sailing races, watching bronze casting demonstrations, participating in knot tying, sailboat and buoy painting, and exploring Museum exhibits while enjoying food and beer along the waterfront.
“At Small Craft Festival, we want people to do more than simply look at boats,” says Molly Voth, museum educator at the Antique Boat Museum. “It’s a chance to get on the water, try a new skill, watch some friendly competition, and experience the traditions of recreational boating in a fun and approachable way.”
Join the trivia contest at 1 p.m., for a chance to win a private two-hour cruise aboard Zipper, ABM’s 41-foot speedboat, for up to 12 passengers, along with a complimentary museum membership.
Small Craft Festival is part of New York State’s Path Through History Weekend, a statewide celebration connecting visitors with historic and cultural sites through special programs, demonstrations, and experiences.
