These boats match performance, versatility and usability. This new 38 XC Cross Cabin was conceived around the concept of “adventure boating,” blending Scandinavian minimalism with a highly modular layout that adapts to everything from commuting to overnighting.
At this model’s core is a twin-stepped deep-V hull designed for control rather than outright speed. That said, performance is hardly lacking. With twin 300- or 350-hp outboards, the 38 can push past 45 knots, with a top-end speed approaching 50 knots under ideal conditions.
What sets the Axopar apart is its flexible layout. The boat is divided into four distinct zones: Bow lounge, enclosed forward cabin, wheelhouse and aft deck. Each area can be configured in multiple ways — sunpads, dinettes, wetbars or even an aft cabin — making it one of the most modular boats ever produced. Make the boat your own with options including a wetbar in the fenderbox, aft bench seats with storage, fold-down activity platforms, an enclosed toilet in the front cabin, or a wheelhouse lounge.
The wheelhouse is the social and operational center, with excellent visibility and sliding doors that allow the boat to function in all climates. Below, the forward cabin offers surprising livability, with a convertible berth, optional galley and enclosed head.
What’s the best use for this boat? That depends entirely on the owner. The Axopar 38 is equally at home as a fast commuter, a weekend cruiser or a watersports platform. Its cruising sweet spot from 30 to 35 knots adds to its practicality, delivering efficiency without requiring constant fiddling with the throttle.
With this boat, versatility is the name of the game. The Axopar 38 doesn’t force you into a single boating lifestyle. Instead, it gives you tools to define your own.
