Dreaming of cruising America’s Great Loop? The Great Loop Discovery event, hosted by America’s Great Loop Cruisers’ Association (AGLCA), returns to the Chicago area September 11-12 at the Westin Chicago Northwest.
This two-day introductory seminar offers aspiring Loopers practical advice and inspiration from experienced cruisers, industry experts and those who have completed the journey. Sessions cover the Great Loop route, boat systems and maintenance, weather, navigation, budgeting, trip planning and life aboard.
An optional Boat Buying Workshop sponsored by Great Loop Yacht Sales helps you choose a boat, understand financing and insurance, and navigate surveys and sea trials.
Event registration is $165 per person and includes admission to the two-day event, lunch and a one-year AGLCA membership. The event offers a chance to learn, connect with fellow future Loopers and take the first step toward making the Great Loop dream a reality.
