Mentor, Ohio’s festival celebrating the elements of wind, water and sand is back after a two-year hiatus and is ready to make 2021 an event to remember. The all-day BeachFest includes entertainment, hands-on activities, nearly a dozen food trucks with a wide variety of food, arts and crafts vendors, and of course the beloved Ohio Master Sand Sculpting Competition.

Set to be held on Saturday, July 17 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Headlands Beach State Park, this year’s BeachFest sand sculpting competition features three world champions who will start work on their larger-than-life creations on July 15. On July  17, attendees will have an opportunity to choose and crown the winner.

There will be activities for all ages, including music from DJ Stray, entertainment from Jasmine Dragon acrobatic show and Bubble Magic, as well as a family sandcastle building contest. Every year, more than 15,000 attendees head out from Northeast Ohio and surrounding states to take part in this fun, family friendly event.

Headlands BeachFest is presented by LakeHealth and sponsored by Meijer, Mutsko Insurance, CT Consultants, Mimi Vanderhaven, and Remarkable Lake County. Admission is free. To learn more, visit cityofmentor.com.
