The H. Lee White Maritime Museum and New York Sea Grant have set June 6 as the new date for the free 2026 Lake Ontario Waterfront Festival in Oswego’s Historic Maritime District. Running noon to 4 p.m. at the museum, the family-friendly event will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with activities highlighting the National Historic Landmark World War II U.S.S. Large Tugboat LT-5 from D-Day.
Visitors can enjoy ham radio demonstrations during Museum Ship Weekend, maritime exhibits, environmental education, music by The Happy Pirates and local tourism displays. Boating safety tips, recreational boating resources, and museum exhibits, including historic vessels, will also be featured.
