The LaPorte County Convention and Visitors Bureau, founder and organizer of the XINSURANCE Great Lakes Grand Prix, and As the Prop Turns have announced a media partnership extending through the 2026 offshore racing season and throughout 2027.
The collaboration aims to strengthen the sport of offshore powerboat racing by connecting racers, teams, fans, sponsors, promoters and organizations through expanded storytelling and media coverage. As the Prop Turns will provide live interviews, racer profiles, behind-the-scenes features, documentaries, social media campaigns and year-round content promoting the Grand Prix, Michigan City and LaPorte County, Indiana. The partnership will also highlight the region’s businesses, attractions and tourism opportunities while increasing exposure for racers and sponsors.
Both organizations say the agreement reflects a vision for a more unified offshore racing community and a commitment to growing the sport through collaboration, innovation and greater engagement with fans. The effort will support the Grand Prix’s continued growth while positioning Michigan City as a premier offshore racing destination.
