A new service called Marina Car has launched, creating the first member-based vehicle network designed specifically for transient boaters. Founded by waterfront operations veteran Peter C. Rauscher, the service places vehicles directly at participating marinas, giving boaters immediate transportation access upon arrival.
The platform aims to solve common travel challenges, including limited rental car availability, unreliable rideshare options and essential services located beyond walking distance. Through a membership-based system, Marina Car connects boaters with nearby communities while helping marinas enhance guest amenities and encourage longer stays.
Rauscher says the concept transforms marinas into connected access points for local economies. The company plans to expand the network across major cruising routes and underserved waterfront destinations throughout North America.
