Registration for the 2021 two-day Paddle Antrim Festival is now open. The event will take place for its sixth year on September 16 – 18, with festivities and opportunities to explore Michigan’s beautiful Chain of Lakes Water Trail and its surrounding communities while you paddle.

The non-competitive event welcomes all skill levels for one or both days, where participants can paddle anywhere from 7 to 42 miles and take in an impressive series of small and large lakes and connecting rivers. The second day’s adventure includes up to five lakes and two rivers, including Grass River Natural Area and Torch Lake.

“We are excited to invite all levels of paddlers to grab their canoe, kayak or paddleboard and experience the diversity of paddling available on our pristine waters”, says Deana Jerdee, Paddle Antrim executive director. “Over 150 paddlers come from all over the state and the country to experience the diversity of the pristine Chain of Lakes Water Trail and the wonderful hospitality each community has to offer.”

In addition to providing a great experience for paddlers to get out and explore, the event supports Paddle Antrim’s mission to protect the waterway through stewardship, education and increased access points.

At the culmination of each day, communities along the way will host fun events for paddlers, including a fun Block Party at Bellaire’s Richardi Park Friday afternoon and a final bash at the Elk Rapids Pull Barn with great brews and live music and fun for the whole family.

Meals and shuttle service can be added. For more information or to register, visit paddleantrim.com.
