A modern take on the classic motoryacht.

The rear cockpit flows seamlessly into the main salon, where a large aft galley with L-shaped countertop and island provides a bright, well-ventilated cooking space that serves both indoor and outdoor areas. Just ahead to port sits the main dinette and lounge. Step below to find a full-width master suite with ensuite amidships, a VIP guest suite in the bow and a second suite with twin beds to port. Both guest suites share a spacious head to starboard. All accommodations benefit from oversized windows that let in plenty of light while preserving privacy.

“All too often we see boats that have lots of great creature comforts but may not perform very well. Other times, we see boats that can run like the wind but are not very comfortable to live aboard,” observes Nick Harvey, president of Jeanneau America. “And there are still other boats out there that run well and are plenty comfortable, but cost an arm and a leg so not a lot of them get sold. The Prestige 550 has proven itself to be one of those rare boats that encompasses all these essential elements into one great winning package.”

With its twin Cummins 8.3L diesels turning Zeus pod drives, the Prestige 550 Fly offers a top speed of 30 knots. Drop back to 24 knots and the 550 Fly delivers an impressive 280-mile range. Joystick control and an available third helm station in the aft cockpit makes docking a breeze.

“The 550 Prestige is the most popular model in the Prestige line, with 10 of them now cruising the Great Lakes,” says Spring Brook Marina’s Kyle Stenzel (815-357-8666; springbrookmarina.com). “It affords owners an amazingly spacious layout incomparable to any other yacht in its class, while focusing on the most advanced resin infusion fiberglass technologies in the industry, making it the most structurally solid boat on the market. There’s simply not a better built, better performing yacht in this size range for anywhere near the aggressive price point offered by Prestige.”
