The Michigan Maritime Museum will once again host its beloved Rock the Boat fundraiser concert on Friday, August 21 from 7-10 pm. The fifth year of the popular event, the fundraiser features live music, food and drinks along the museum’s boardwalk and waterfront campus, with space to mingle, dance and enjoy the fun! Band 1985 will be back to deliver iconic 1980s hits, and on-site food and cash bar will be provided by Jay Marcoux of Chalkboard Kitchen Catering.
“After the tremendous success of the last four Rock the Boat fundraisers—each one selling out — we are beyond excited to bring this popular event back for a fifth consecutive year,” says Bailey Sisoy-Moore, executive director of the Michigan Maritime Museum.
Event grounds tickets are $25 per person (kids 4 and under are free), and VIP tables are $1,000 per table of 8. The event will also offer a Very Important Boat Experience that costs $2,500 for up to 15 guests and features exclusive access to the dock and deck of tall ship Friends Good Will with the captain and crew at your service, and beer and wine stocked to your preference, along with a curated selection of bites.
