Southwest Florida Yachts Waives Entry Fee as it Seeks Additions to Power and Sail Charter Fleet

By August 24, 2026No Comments

Southwest Florida Yachts is waiving the entry fee for additions to its charter fleet, and is especially seeking sailboats and power cats from 35 to 45 feet and motor yachts or trawlers 40 feet or longer.

“For those wanting to place a boat in the fleet that meets our criteria, we are waiving the entry fee, which ranges from $500 to $1,500 depending on the vessel,” says co-owner Barb Hansen. “Our charter yacht management program is much like a condominium rental management program with vessel owners using their charter revenue to maintain and upgrade their yachts, while offsetting the costs of dockage and insurance.”

Brands like Beneteau, Grand Banks, Meridian and Sea Ray have done well in the past, along with sailboat brands like Island Packet, Catalina, Beneteau and Jeanneau.

“If chartering your cruiser is a first-time consideration, please visit our website: swfyachts.com and read ‘Passport to Yacht Ownership’ for more information about our program,” adds Hansen, who is also a licensed Florida Yacht Broker and helps her clients find the yacht that will fit their needs.

“Our cruising area, which is also detailed at our website, is one of the most beautiful in the U.S., featuring the barrier islands of Sanibel, Captiva, Cayo Costa, Gasparilla, Cabbage Key and more. That explains the constant demand we enjoy and our need for fleet additions.”
