Spend a week on beautiful Lake Huron at the Pointe aux Barques Maritime Museum as an Assistant Keeper! Volunteers can sign up to spend a week at the assistant keeper’s house at the Pointe aux Barques Maritime Museum through the PABMM Assistant Keeper Program. Groups of two to four adults can stay in the refurbished 1908 house overlooking Lake Huron and volunteer as a lighthouse keeper, welcoming visitors to the museum, keeping the space tidy and sharing the story and history of the lighthouse while enjoying the scenic views and the peaceful surroundings of Pointe aux Barques.
The program costs $150 per person per week, plus volunteer services throughout the week, and is available from late May through September. To learn more, visit pabmm.org/asst-keepers-program.
