The Class 1 entry of Outta Pocket Racing/XINSURANCE with owner/driver Kevin Birrell and throttleman Billy Moore captured a first-place finish at the 17th Annual XINSURANCE Great Lakes Grand Prix offshore race on August 1, 2026, in Michigan City, Indiana. The 46-foot catamaran is powered by a pair of 1,100-hp Mercury inboard engines. The winds blowing out of the northeast stirred up the Lake Michigan race course, creating 5- to 6-foot seas. Water conditions forced the organizers to cancel Sunday’s race competition. Race World Offshore produced the event as part of the Union Internationale Motonautique World Championship Series and the APBA (American Power Boat Association) National Championship Series.
